Blackened - Whiskey (750ml)

Blackened is the collaboration of late Master Distiller Dave Pickerell, formerly of WhistlePig, and the legendary band Metallica.

The whiskey itself is a blend of predominantly Bourbons, followed by a number of ryes, and the product is transferred brandy barrels to age. On the nose, typical Bourbon notes of toasted grain, salted caramel, and vanilla are tinged with dried apricot. 

The palate begins with a bold dose of clove-studded lemon zest, progresing into butterscotch and worn leather. Delicious as-is or in cocktails, or over a large ice cube to push baking spice and pepper notes to the fore.

BLACKENED is produced in Columbus, OH. Master Distiller & Blender Rob Dietrich oversees the whiskey distilling process including, sourcing, blending, and cask-finishing barrels for each batch.
