Channing Daughters - Ramato - Long Island, 2020 (750ml)

A skin fermented white wine " a.k.a. orange wine". On the nose very aromatic aromas of honey, brown spices, pear and citrus. On the palate a dry yet bright and savory melding of peach and tropical fruits followed by a lingering crisp balanced finish.

The fruit comes from the farm in Bridgehampton and the Mudd West Vineyard on the North Fork and was hand-picked, handled minimally, fermented on its skins (with wild /ambient yeast) in small bins for sixteen days and raised in older French and Slovenian oak puncheons (large 500L barrels) for four months.
