La Caravedo - Pisco Puro Quebranta (750ml)

This Puro-style Pisco (hailing from the Peruvian side of the line) is made entirely from the Quebranta grape. It is fully fermented before distillation in alambique copper pot stills. The Pisco is distilled to 80 proof, precluding the need for additives of any kind. Aromas of cracked coconut, Bartlett pear, red grape, and sun-warmed grass layer the nose. On the palate, round coconut flavors support dried peach and banana flavors, with a suggestion of dark chocolate and spice. While the classic Pisco Sour is a no-brainer here, it does just as nicely in a Mule, Mojito, or Paloma.
