Marqués del Atrio was founded in 2003, and has since been studying each subplot of vines in order to better attune their winemaking practices to the surrounding environment. Their Rioja spends 24 months in French and American oak before bottling, lending additional richness and warmth. On the nose, expect ripe dark cherry, plum, and bramble fruit with clove and forest floor aromas. The palate is plush yet medium-bodied, with rich oak emphasizing ripe red fruit and a touch of savory herbaceousness. Balanced acidity and soft tannins complete the wine's structure. Enjoy alongside a skirt steak, grilled chicken, or Tex-Mex fajitas.
