Prohibition Distillery - Bootlegger 21 Bourbon (375ml)

Named for the 21st Amendment repealing Prohibition, the über-local distillery for this whiskey is located in Roscoe, NY and uses 100% NY corn as their mash bill. It is then aged in American oak of mixed sizes before being very loosely filtered (more like strained for particles), blended with water to 92 proof, and bottled. Aromas of citrus and spicy cinnamon on the nose open up into honey-buttered cornbread and coffee cake, while the palate's hot cinnamon spice transitions into vanilla and dark chocolate-covered brittle. While it's a straightforward Bourbon, it's perfectly balanced and delicious in its simplicity. Enjoy as a satisfying sipper when you're not trying to think too hard.
