Redemption - Cask Finish Rye Rum (750ml)

From one of the most dedicated advocates of rye comes a rum-finished rye whiskey, a category that is still in its youth in the States. Redemption uses barrels from Plantation Rum, and bottles at 94 proof. The cask is apparent on the nose, rich as it is with baked banana, vanilla, and sweet cinnamon syrup layered over a kick of rye spice. The palate maintains its rye backbone, now wearing a dose of sweet brown sugar, molasses, and baking spice with just a hint of herbs. Banana with a kiss of molasses and spice mark the finish.
