Redemption Wheated Bourbon (750ml)

Redemption released their Wheated Bourbon in 2017, marking their first bottling not to carry rye in the mash bill. Composed of 51% corn, 45% winter wheat, and 4% malted barley, its high percentage of wheat demonstrates their consistent aim to showcase grain character. Soft vanilla flower and cereal notes begin the nose, unfolding into sage and bay leaf with an oaky background. Clean and bright on the palate, with toasted walnut, herbal, and clove evolving on the palate. A kick of white pepper and smoky vanilla mark the finish. While it's perfectly delicious on its own, this bottling is an excellent bar addition for those who prefer a wheated Bourbon for their cocktail base.
