The Giard family is one of the most respected in all of the Pays d'Auge, tracing their family roots back twelve generations. Their estate, Domain du Montreuil, is currently managed by Patrice, son of the legendary Roger Giard where they make calvados in a very traditional style, with long, slow fermentations, and extended maturatin in large, old, oak foudres.
